The Zoo

Today we went to the National Zoo in Washington DC with the Mckellars. It was alot of fun, and Totally FREE! Yes thats right FREE! If your my mom No its not free our taxes pay for it. But to me its free :) They get you on parking $40 bucks a car.. Or you can just park in the neighborhoods accross the stree which i think everyone does. It was a beautiful day not to hot and NOT humid which was a blessing! The Humidity makes me miss UTAH :)

Teagan Loves the Animals, Aaliyah doenst really know what to think. It was fun to get out of the house and do something on this nice Saturday.

Teagans New Friend

With our recent move, I knew eventually we would make some friends that Moana and i Both like. After almost two months, I am very pleased to announce We have Some Great New Friends!!!!..haha Abbie Jon and Madeline Platt. They are Awesome! Abbie works in the senate, is a Fabulous mom, and Loves to talk business! Jon is former marine and now does Internet security ;), They are both very driven, and Madeline is 2 and just the cutest little thing.. Teagan loves her! They play really well together! Abbie and i have been running every other morning. We are training for the Baltimore 1/2 marathon. Its nice to have someone to run with again.. Cause lets face it, when i don't have anyone to go with i just wont go.... haha Sad we don't have any pictures yet of all of us.. Ill work on those, Here are some cute ones of the kids!

Mom Tanner Austin Heidi and Mason

We had such a fun weekend! Mom Austin and Tanner Heidi and Mason all came on Wednesday night. They had drove to Heidis and stayed a few days and then continued here. Thursday we got up and went on an AWESOME tour of the Washington DC Capitol Building. My new friend Abbie who is also my new running partner :) Works on the hill so we got VIP treatment :) It was so cool! We didnt have to wait in any lines and got to see alot of cool things Some of which a normal tour person wouldnt see which was fun! Then we came home All the kids napped even tanner and austin, So mom heidi and i finished a blanket that they had made for teagan which is so cool and he loves it! When all the kids got up we went to some trails that we run and rode bikes. Then Friday we went to Sandy Point Beach State Park that just happens to be under a half hour away and went swimming every one had alot of fun. Then Heidi Mom and i were going to go to the temple but it was closed for cleaning so we went to look around IKEA that was fun too and then We got up Saturday morning and left. It was a really Short but very nice visit from the family. We had a lot of fun.

Great Food!

Lately i have had kinda a boring attitude towards dinner and just cooking in general. So i decided that if i had to do it i had to make it fun for me! I got a pretty new cook book with lots of pictures, some new glasses, Some pretty napkins (not shown), And a few fun platters to make things look a little better. Now all i need is a really cute apron :) Its funny how much my attitude has changed about cooking the last few days.. When i try and make the food look good i actually enjoy making it..:) We will be trying out some of our new recipes. Tonight Moana out did himself! Apricot Glazed Chicken, and Bourbon Chicken Skewers. They were so good! The pictures do not even do them justice!

Girls Night

I know every time you move you have to start over and it takes some time making new friends. But My old ward was just AWESOME! I have really come to love these girls! They all have taught me so much and have been such a good example to me! They are so Fun! Here are a few things i have learned from them...
Jackie you have taught me that even though it may be a little extra work it is always nice to have your food look nice..:) Everything i have ever eaten at your house has been pretty and well thought out! You always go above and beyond with everything you do. Like the caramel apples that we worked on for like 5 hours and i wasn't even there for all of it. You are a great entertainer! Heather you have been a great example to me of hard work! And how to balance an Extremely busy schedule. Anna you have taught me that it is possible to put your kids to bed at 7:00 and to have your husband do it... Amazing! Haven t conquered that yet but working on it. Holly i have learned so much from you! You are a great example of dedication and being healthy! Running 6 days a week for the last 3 years, eating healthy but never cutting out the desert! and always having extra! I have learned that its ok to not want to be with your kids 24/7 and getting away for a little bit to have fun girls get togethers. And that its never a big deal if i dont call you back right away or even the same day cause it would take you just as long or another phone call to get a hold of you haha I really miss running with you guys and seeing you everyweek at church.
Last night we went out for Jackies birthday. And to say goodbye to holly Again. We got cheesecake and went to see the new Twilight movie, which i TOTALLY loved! GO TEAM JACOB!!

4th of July

We had an Awesome 4th of July! We got up and went on a hike/treasure hunt/geocacheing. It was 1/2 mile down into this trail all shaded so it felt nice. The kids loved being out of the house. Then we came home and got ready for church. We went to church and Teagan stayed in nursery the whole time which is always nice.. Then we came home and had a festive dinner and went to the fire works. Aaliyah slept through the whole thing and Teagan didn't really like them at all. He was scared and kept his head covered the majority of the time. It was fun thought and we didn't get stuck in traffic afterwards cause we left a little early so it was Perfect.
