Craft Time!

July 21-23 Heidi and Mason Came to visit. We crafted and went to the pool everyday. We made alot of fun things.

Ward Campout

July 15-16 Was the ward Campout. It was alot of fun. Moana won the watermellon eating contest. Teagan got third out of the kids the 1 & 2 place were like 9 years old. He did so good. It was funny

Finished and Plans

July 6th i finished school! Wohoo! Moana and the kids came and brought me flowers and my favorite treat! Combos!:)

After a lot of consideration and prayer i decided instead of trying to work at a salon out here and finding a babysitter i would focus on doing hair out of my home. Moana got me a great chair and mirror and we have been creating a nice little salon set up in the basement.

I recreated my pricelist since everything is so much more expensive out here, and have been doing lots of hair! I havent ever been more greatful for the profession i chose. The last few weeks i have had a pretty full schedule. We go to the pool everyday and then when they nap i take clients for a few hours until they normally wake up and then a few at night when Moana goes to play basketball, or works. It is wonderful to be able to do it out of my home. Make money with out taking my attention away from the kids! I feel great about it!

4th of July

July 4th we went and watched fireworks at the National Harbor. The kids loved the fireworks.

Finishing School

June 6th Mom and Tanner and Austin came to watch my kids while i finished school. After getting home at 3am i had to be at school at 8am. For like a week i slept in the car durring my lunch break :) i was so tired.

May 26-June 6 Was the Haretuku Family Reunion in Arizona So So So much fun!! Seriously it was GREAT!! So Well planned and so much fun!

Moanas Birthday

May 30 Moanas Birthday. We celebrated a few days early befor we went to AZ. We celebrated again with his whole family!

Indiana

May 12-23 the kids and i went to Indiana to See Michael Graduate and watch the Griesemer kids while Mark and Heather went on a Cruis. 7 kids for almost 10 days. Flight back Delayed for 8 hours. 7pm to 3am with two small kids NO FUN!!

Birthday and Mothersday

May 4th was my birthday. I had a great day. Moana and the kids made me some butterfly cupcakes and I went to the temple.

Mothers Day was nice we went to the Azaelia Garden and took some pictures.

Its been a While

So a lot has happened since May 2nd. Here is a quick version by Month. I will add pictures to each post soon.

The Rose Ball

Our new ward here does alot of fun things. One of my favorites so far is the ROSE BALL. Saturday was the Rose Ball 18-and up. Everyone was suppose to be dressed Fancy and most were. They had a live Jazz band and some great food. We had alot of fun!
Luckily i had this awesome dress from Kevin and Martha's wedding that i got to wear again!

Aaliyahs New Wardrobe :)

This is Aaliyah and i Hiding out in the Mothers room at church during Sunday school. This little one will NOT hold still for longer than 1 min. She is so wiggly and just wants to run around everywhere. Moana and i have been taking shifts i take her 2nd hour and he takes her 3rd hour. We both get one hour of uninterrupted listening, It works out. So When the mothers room is empty we hide out there. She can walk around the room (contained) and i can sit in a nice comfortable rocking chair and listen to the other wards sacrament :) it works out nice for both of us. Luckily We are only two weeks away from NURSERY!!!! Cant wait to be able to pay attention again.
On Easter weekend we had a little Easter egg hunt with some friends of ours. Moana met us there and after we got home he started to tell me that he was really embarrassed with the way Aaliyah was dressed.:( She desperately needed a new pair of shoes. The had been wearing some of Teagans old ones. That were really doing just fine. But said you wouldn't go out of the house looking like that. Why is she.. i laughed but then really thought about it and he was TOTALLY right! When i leave the house most of the time i am very well matched and have lots of accessories that go with each outfit and lots of different shoes.Lately, I had been spending quite a bit of time, and a little bit of money on things that i will be gifting. So the next day i went threw all Aaliyahs clothes ( the Hand me downs that i have gotten and are so grateful for) They are years old but still in good condition, just not the most stylish things. So i decided before Moana got home i was going to have a whole new wardrobe for her. So i got her a new pair of tennys and some cute sandals. Then i revamped and altered Some of her clothes.

This use to be long overalls. I simply cut off the legs used the same bottom seam around the bottom of the skirt and made some cute Rosette flowers and a matching hair clip. She wore this one on Sunday with a white onesie and her newly made white tights.

This was really wide and plain so i sewed up the sides added the ribbon and matching button ( used the extra one that sometimes is sewn into the inside of the out fit ) the Cute with tights. and matching hair clip. The tights are the sleeves of one of the long sleeve onesies i cut off, I sewed them to a pair of white jammers.

This was really plain. i just added the black ribbon and made a matching flower.

This is after i cut up the outfit below. I First made them into capris and later turned it into a cute ruffled skirt bc the capris were too tight. The onesie she is wearing is the one that was long sleeved that i ruffled and added the rosettes on the side and to the hat.

Before transformation

This is an after product of below. I need to let out the crotch of the shorts a little but you get the idea. The onesie had a really big collar around it that i cut off and finished and added the matching ruffles.

So ugly but i loved the color :)

I also did a few shirts and then a whole new running wardrobe for myself that i am now obsessed with! Now i am hooked on making old things new :) which is great bc now i don't feel like i need to buy as much!

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny didnt do very good on the baskets this year :) But they didnt care :) The night before we left a note and a carrot for the Easter Bunny. In the morning we had a nice breakfast. With a very Easter decorated table that i didnt take any pictures of. After breakfast the Easter bunny Had hid the baskets and had left a trail of jelly beans so it was easy for the little ones to find them.:)

Some of the cupcakes made for a Easter lunch we went to with some people from Moanas ward in Samoa. They didnt even touch them :) Moana said they looked to fancy for them to eat :) haha

The Columbia Mall is seriously the Best! Free Easter Bunny! Teagan and Aaliyah LOVED him. Aaliyah kept squeeling and trying to sit by him.
